During period one day, on 13th March, 2017 CLC have cooperated with CNV-I to show activities achievement in three years in the EU project of closing conference on “Promoting Core Labour Standards in Cambodia-towards a decent jobs for Cambodian workers” that has 71 participants (M 39, F32) joined The main objective of training aimed to 1). To disseminate the project progressing, result and challenges to the participants. 2). Sharing lesson learns and experience on project implemented,
At CLC office on 03-04 March 2017, there were total 26 participants and within 10 females which from CLC staffs, CLC’s affiliated members have attended Youth TOT training on “Youth policy and Empowerment youth to be trainer”. The purpose of training is to promote the understanding aware of youth issue in Cambodia, Sharing the different experience of CLC’s affiliated members based on advocacy strategy and the way forward, and developing the strategy for youth capacity building for future opportunity.
During 01-02 March, 2017 there were total 25 participants and other 13 females which from CLC staffs, CLC affiliated members has fully attended the ToT gender training on topic “Women right in CBA”. The main purposed of training is enhanced knowledge and skill as a trainer, Improve knowledge and skills on preparing training lesson and utilization of training curriculum, Increasing facilitation skill on using different training methods, techniques and learning aids, and Improving knowledge and skills on training course organizing, monitoring, evaluating and preparing training report.
Every quarter the board of Steering committee and members will conduct an official meeting with the permanent committee member based on steering committee agreement and timeframe is available. According to the project planned, a steering committee meeting has carried out at CLC head office, in Phnom Penh city, on 08th December, 2016 under the three main objectives 1). Report project achievement and update report on project implementation to the committee members, 2) strengthen the relationship between CNV with CLC and steering committee member and 3) Exchange the information, experience and perspective on project outcome.
In November, 2016 CIWF has continued the project sub-grant from EU for capacity building to the local union to aware of “Basic union and Organizing skill”. These topic are very important for new activists and local union’s members understood about workers right, Labour law and develop own strategy for new target organizing.
Organizing training one day workshop held on 14th August 2016 in Sihaknoukvill province at regional levels in which 33 participants included 10 females from different sector. Mr. Ean Kimhun, General Secretary of Cambodian Transportation Workers Federation (CTWF) sector was invited for the trainer providing effectiveness mechanisms and technical organizing to the participation.
Advocacy and Lobby training one day training held on 14th August, 2016 in Sihanoukvill province at regional office in which 31 participants including 9 females from difference sector and non-members. Mr. Chhon Rinda President of Cambodian Industrial Workers Federation (CIWF) has invited for the trainer and presentation on dispute definition and processing of dispute settlement and resolution to the participants.
Presentation and Debate training one day workshop held on 13th August 2016 in Sihakoukvill province at regional office in which 24 participants included 02 females from CLC’s affiliated members and non-members. Mr. Bean Channy general project assistant of EU project was the trainer and presented on public speaking and effectiveness slide preparation and presentation to participation.
The second Research and Development training 1 day workshop held on 31th May, 2016 in Phnom Penh at CLC’s headquarter gathering 20 participants included 6 females from the CLC’s affiliated, members or non- members and CLC staffs. The purposed of training aimed to provide on research knowledge, survey information, design, data collection and strengthening capacity building on data analysis to the participants.
The half day of fundraising follow up workshop held on 28th May, 2016 in Phnom Penh at CLC’s headquarter gathering 8 participants included 2 females from CLC federation leaders and CLC staffs. This training follow up was conducted for verification and edit about the small grant scheme proposal before submitting to donor (CNV-I) and took place explained on new proposal guideline to federation leaders for use in the next time proposal as presented by Mr. Bean Channy project assistant.
