Who is CLC?

CLC Stroke LogoCambodian Labor Confederation (CLC) is the democratic and independent confederation established on April 09th, 2006 and registered in No1587KB/VK on December 21st, 2008 in the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. Nowadays, CLC has 102 699 members that cover 14 provinces and local unions 202 from nine federation and associations such as: Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Unions (C.CAWDU), Cambodian Tourist Service-Workers Federation (CTSWF), Farmers Association of Peace and Development (FAPD), Building and Wood Workers Trade Union Federation of Cambodia (BWTUC), Cambodian Industry worker federation (CIWF), Cambodian Agriculture worker federation (CAWF), Cambodian Transportation worker federation (CTWF), and Cambodian Informal Economic Worker Association (CIWA) and other sectors.

 

VISIONS: Cambodian obtain a society with the rule of law, democracy, equally and fully respceting the human right between men and women as well as good and convenient living condition.

 

MISSIONS:
– Integrate all unions into unique of voice,
– Uphold the democracy,
– Train and research the social economics,
– Advocate to employers and the government,
– Promote the equality between men and wonen.

 

AIMS:
– Improve cooperation with the government, employers and the federation of workers and employees,
– Announce and educate about the human rights, the labour law, the democracy and the other skills,
– Compel to implement the policy of democracy,the human rights and labour law,
– Improve the living standard of workers,employers, civil-servants, teacher as well as all levels of people,
– Compel to strengthen the educational sector and social justice.
– Provide legal suport to the members and their families,
– Compel to manage the national budged and loan hight effevtively.

 

OBJECTIVES:
Improve the high capacity and knowledge of association, union and federation leaders for:
– Increasing members gradually in all sectors, fee payment,
– Having authority in negotiations and influence in Cambodia,
– Members have good working condition,
– Being the national and internatonal member respesentatives,
– Getting more women as leaders and members,
– Having internal solidarity.
