Trade union and Leadership training

Depending on the financial support from EU who provided to CLC by CNV-I, Cambodia Conferderation has conduted a training of “Trade Union Leadership” on 27 August 2014 at CLC office. There are 19 participant and 7 female who is the union leader and activist who come from 09 union confederations. This training aims to strengthen the capacity building and increase the knowledge on trade leadership and management to participant. And increase the skill of deputes resolution at the work place and union.

Mr. Kong Athit, General Secretary of CLC invited to open remark in the training of union and leadership. His speech is focus on program development, union, member, and he said that Leaders needed only when there is a problem and when that does not matter, they do not need our leadership. Leaders must have supporting from more members. The heart of member is leading the faithful courage; brave, devoted advocates have a direction and know yourself is going. He is also a main speaker in this training that focus on the economic into two capitalism regimes, workers regime. The benefit between employer to employee, the difference between union and non-government organization.

Mr. Prit Souot, legal officer of CLC who is internal evaluation of CLC focus the leadership and management, function of leader and union management, depute resolution, and he has shared the case study to all of participant

Mrs. Ou Tepphallin, Vice president of Food and Service Unions has shared experiences on her work back ground as a gild beer promotion, her living situation, and social value.

Result Finally, the trade union leadership training has completed and get successfully. This training have following on the program. The participants get more knowledge and they are very active in sharing and asking the question in this event. The speakers are strongly in sharing and answer to the question from participant.
